Christmas time is coming!!

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

There is a chill brewing in our night air. From this day forward, our day light will grow shorter. We are at the equinox, when our day light and night time are equal. Soon you will start to think of Christmas music and holiday shopping. And all of the smartest customers will have purchased their Christmas cards early! The deadline for card orders is Dec. 4th, 2009. Anyone who’s had a session in 2009 can use a chosen image from this year’s session for 2009 Cards. Here are a few samples to get your taste buds going. Jingle all the way!

New Policies

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Vanessa G. Photography now offers on-line session booking! Hooray! Finally, the new scheduling system is up and running, just in time for me to be down and recovering. (Expecting baby #2 any day now if you haven’t heard.) Since I’m expecting to be out of commission for at least a few weeks, there will be a short disruption in email response times. I do apologize.

Please take notice of the new Policies detailed under the Information tab as well. You’ll notice that the session fee has increased, BUT it also includes a $75 print credit!! Don’t panic, you haven’t missed out! The actual session cost is the same. You now have the advantage of prepaying for a portion of your order to ease the final investment. Yes. Now you see how clever I am. I’m putting you on a mini payment plan! Anything for my wonderful clients.

There is a contract that goes with every session, and you’ll be asked to sign that on your session date. Again, please review the policies on the website for more information.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you create some wonderful images that you’ll treasure forever. Visit me soon!

PS-I’m now booking September - December 2009. There are only 3 spots left in September! If you’re wanting Christmas cards this year, I suggest you get on the schedule early.

Thank you voters!

Friday, May 8th, 2009

It was a complete surprise to be voted the #2 photographer in the Bladen Journal’s 2009 Reader’s Choice Survey. Especially since I don’t have a current subscription and didn’t even vote for myself! You guys did this! Thank you so much for believing in me. Thank you for recognizing my business and the passion I have for it. Thank you for your support and positive feedback, not just in this survey, but through your emails, phone calls, and word-of-mouth referrals. Every time you recommend me to your friends, I hear about it. And it is the best complement I could ever receive. Thank you!!!!!

Come visit me!

What have I been up to lately? Too much work and not enough play.

1- The Spring and Grow Expo: April 4th from 10am to 3pm

I’ll plan to see you at the Expo at LuMil Vineyard! Come by my booth inside and drool over my new frames. These babies are gorgeous and one-of-a-kind. You’ll be among the first to see them in person. Pick up some goodies for the kids. Book a portrait session at the event and earn a $30 print credit good on your next order. Think ahead, do you want that family Christmas picture this year, book early and save a few bucks. Learn more at www.lumilvineyard.com.

2- Developing my accounting skills.

Have you had the pleasure of learning Quickbooks software with no accounting background? I highly recommend it if you need a few hours less sleep and having nothing else to do but read a 200+ page software manual. I am nearing the end of the start up process, however, I have a lot less hair. I’ve been pulling it out.

3- Product shopping.

I have some wonderful new products to add to the product gallery. Other than the new frames, which you can see at the Expo, there are several other new products I hope to have on hand for the show as well. NEW 5×5″ albums with top notch graphics added and custom, high end, leather covers. NEW 3×3″ brag books that fit in your purse and fold out like an accordion. So cute! You’ll love these too. And NEW storyboard samples to spark your imagination. The updated product gallery will be added to the website soon, check back often. You can see product samples of the new frames there too!

4- Getting bigger.

Yes, the belly is growing and I’m slowing. How in the world did the Duggers mom on TLC do this 16 times and then decide it would be ok to do it again? Seriously? I’m almost in the last trimester and I’m thinking that any day now would be a good time to throw in the towel. I’m kidding. Everyone wants to see me get bigger (fat), so I’m considering taking a photo of myself so you can laugh. Not tonight. Maybe later. I’ll keep you in suspense.

5- Facebook.

I gave in. I joined. There’s not a photo of me there either. Ha-ha. How terrible am I? I’m a PHOTOGRAPHER with a fortune in camera equipment and “I” can’t get a picture taken of myself. I’ll keep trying. It’s on the to-do list. The very, very long list. Meanwhile, I expect you to go add me as your friend right after you exit this blog. ;)

6- Bridal session.

I wish you could oow and ahh with me. She is so beautiful. I loved our session in downtown Wilmington. The wedding is in April. You’ll get to see her then. I can’t show you her dress ahead of the wedding now can I? Stay tuned…
